I can't remember what old interview it was, it might have been GQ? Where they really pressured Harry into saying how many people he had slept with. I think it was the same interview where he said he thinks he would know if he was bisexual/alluded to not being bisexual. He said he slept with 2 people. I assumed 1 was Louis and 1 the german boy.
Hi, anon!
Yes, it was the gay vampire interview as i call it in GQ. Here is the quote;
GQ: So you're not bisexual?
Harry: Bisexual? Me? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm not.
About who he slept with he said;
GQ: Do you know how many people you've slept with?
Harry: I know the number of people I've slept with, yes.
GQ: What is that number?
Harry: I'm definitely not telling you!
GQ: Can you give me a rough, ballpark figure?
Harry: No!
GQ: Say "yes" or "no". Less than 100?
Harry: No!
GQ: So higher than 100?
Harry: No, it's definitely less than 100...
GQ: Lower than 50?
Harry: Yes, lower than 50.
[b]GQ: Lower than 30?
Harry: I'm not doing this! You're cornering me!
[b]GQ: Lower than 30?
Harry: I'm not doing this! You're cornering me!
GQ: Come on you're a rock star. OK, less than ten.
Harry: Yes. Two people. I've only ever had sex with two people.
GQ: I don't believe you.
Harry: Well, that's my answer. Read from it what you will!
And what most of us larries read from that is the german boy and louis. This interview was published in september 2013. So either he's lying here or the number he's slept with before txf was only two, or the number of people he's slept with after txf was two. Carol*ne Fla*k, Emi*y Ata*k, Lu*y Horo*in, TS and the rest of the women who's claimed he slept with them before that interview can't all be telling the truth. Unless he's lying.
This interview was horrible and the 'come on you're a rock star' comment, when the interviewer isn't getting the answer he wants to hear, is aggravating.

Daniel Ricciardo - Spanish GP 2021
Daniel made a brilliant start to jump two places up to P5, then holding that position ahead of Perez's significantly faster Red Bull through the first set of pit stops and deep into the second stint until lap 45. He fended of the faster Ferrari of Carlos Sainz in the final stint to finish P6.
#sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in the media and online narrative of 'daniel was completely shit at mclaren'#that you forget that while daniel had a very inconsistent year in 2021 he did make significant progress with a tricky car#he did have good races regularly made up multiple places on race starts his racecraft was still top notch and his defending second to none#also tom stallard radio still gives me ptsd#daniel ricciardo#dr3#spanish gp 2021

joe'marr bengals reunion ā a (somewhat) comprehensive timeline

1 ā āhave you spoken to the cincinnati bengals and what would it mean to reunite with joe burrow there?ā ā āi have talked to the bengals. i donāt know how many times iāve talked to them though. but, me and joe, you know, i wouldnāt mind going back with joe. if we go back together weāre trying to do nothing but get back our chemistry and have some more fun.ā
2 ā āi'm really excited for this draft. i don't really know what's coming but, you know, if me and joe could get back to it... iād love to have some fun with him again.ā
3 ā āi assume you'd be okay with a potential reunion in cincinnati if that were to happen?" ā "yeah, i wouldnāt mind.ā
4 ā āme and joe talked about [a reunion] maybe like three, four times actually. we talked about it a good bit of times. he texted me this morning, just letting me know: āget your bags packedā, so i guess that meant that was gonna be the pick. i donāt know if that was a hint or what. so, he sent me that little text this morning, i was like āokay⦠i'm ready, broā.ā
5 ā āwhat was your reaction like when he was lowkey recruiting you?ā ā āi actually was believing him sometimes, sometimes i was like āstop playing with meā and sometimes i was just like āokay bro, i gotcha, i'm ready nowā so. i believed him this morning when he told me, you know, pack my bags. so that's when i finally was like: āyeah he might really be calling thisā so that's when i took his word.ā
6 ā ājimmy burrow, did joe tell youāheās always been kind of coy about what he said to the bengalsādid joe tell you that he wanted the bengals to select jaāmarr?ā ā āyes, i think we figured that⦠and eventually⦠yes, he pretty much told us that he wanted jaāmarr.ā
7 ā āit was like a week before the draft, ja'marr said: ādad, joe texted me.ā [ā¦] he didn't say what he said, you know. but he said: ājoe just texted meā, [...] so he had talked to joe like... or texted with joe once or twice that week. and then he told me, he said: ādad, if i get with joe, we're gonna killā [...] so he was all excited about getting with joe.ā
8 ā āwhat was the first thing joe texted you when you got drafted by the bengals?ā ā āmake sure your bag's packed and ready. yeah, that was what he told me.ā
9 ā āthe cincinnati bengals are on the clock now. earlier that morning, i had got a text from joe. he said: hope your bags are packed. i know it's me, at the moment, that's what i'm saying to myself. i can't wait to be a part of it.ā
10 ā articles: 1, 2, 3, 4
#wasnāt gonna post this#but then one of my friends asked me about the whole draft-texting-reunion-saga#so i tried to compile a timeline#added it to the joeāmarr google doc that i made for my friends (who WILL be turned into nfl fans even if it's against their will)#and then i figured i might as well edit it together and upload it cause i do kind of wanna have this on here#anyway i guess the timeline on this is#some very limited communication between them during the season#as evidenced by that one pre-draft interview with joe in which he was like āyeah we still talk now and againā#then the frequency increases a little bit as they're starting to realise how well-positioned the bengals are gonna be in the upcoming draft#joe is reportedly being kept āin the loopā re: the drafting/scouting process#starts seeing a real possibility of playing with jaāmarr again#and begins cautiously mentioning the idea of a reunion around jaāmarr#who is clearly a lot more hesitant unsure guarded etc etc regarding the whole thing#doesnāt know if joe is being serious maybe doesnāt wanna get his hopes up and risk being disappointed#(āsometimes i was like stop playing with meā and: āi didnāt believe it but then he provec me wrongā)#and then ofc the whole thing culminates in the text joe sends him#sidenote: i love jaāmarrās somewhat inconsistent narrative here#(i'm saying this as if he doesn't ALWAYS have theee most unrealiable narration lol)#like........ was it the evening beforeā¦.. or the morning of.ā¦..#and what exactly was the wording of that message#because he keeps alternating between āwe're coming to get youā and āmake sure your bags are packedā#truly one of my favourite aspects about this ship is how much detective work you gotta put into#figuring out what the hell is going on between these two#which is made considerably more difficult by joe never commenting on these Highly Important Topics#and ja'marr who will truly just. say anything.#ANYWAY enough rambling pleeaaase let me know if i forgot anything or if you guys have extra content/opinions/interviews re: this entire saga#ja'marr chase#joe burrow#joe'marr#joemarr

I'm only halfway through the second phase of Predathos (which, to be clear is an incredible vibe for a bossfight, love a good head & hands/multitarget-same-entity boss) but I cannot shake the feeling of disappointment and just dissatisfaction I have had with this campaign that definitely started with Dusk/Yu, got followed up handily with the first Delilah/Sun Tree fight and then has been unfortunately reinforced with every discussion surrounding the Prime Deities since Hearthdell. This campaign is fascinating to pick apart, I have been really enjoying pulling apart why it isn't working compared to C1 or C2. But as much as I'm having fun dissecting where the worldbuilding has led to the current weaknesses in the gods' argument or reading other people's incisive commentary on the lack of personalities on the Ruby Vanguard's end, the "girlfailure" nonsense, etc etc, man do I wish this campaign was better than it is.
There are so many avenues of improvement -
Matt telling everyone to prep and write characters for this campaign instead of a C2-esque character-focused campaign.
Matt working religious organisations into the world properly.
The cast engaging with Marquet as a genuine location rather than set-dressing.
Otohan, Ozo and the rest of the Vanguard having more than "*insert snappy line here*" for their personalities.
No Delilah.
Bell's Hells having an iota of curiosity for anything outside of their own selves, including but not limited to: the gods, religious worship, the Elemental Titans and why they were sundered, how the people of Exandria feel about the gods, Vasselheim and its role in suppressing information about Predathos, Ludinus Da'Leth's plan and how it would still break the world if they did it in his place
I don't know why all of this fell into place in the way that it did, but it did. We can endlessly speculate why - the cast resting on their laurels after C2, not having enough time between the animated shows and Daggerheart and Candela Obscura and, and, and - but at the end of the day I really do hope that whatever form the final campaign wrap-up takes, they burn the damn questions asking the cast "what if the world was made of pudding and this character and this character kissed?" and instead pick questions that get them to introspect for a potential Campaign 4. Otherwise I don't know what will happen, but it sure as hell won't be Mighty Nein part 2: Issylra Boogaloo.
#well now why can#joe schmoe level 20 champion fighter beat god#cr spoilers#none of these are my unique observations; like any good review paper introduction it brings other people's work together#like a bad review paper I am not citing my sources though because i do that enough in work#i am just. so. tired. of this campaign not working on every level#that post about how predathos-as-boss and predathos-as-lore-entity are opposed really sums this campaign up: inconsistent across so many#story beats tones and themes that it brings the whole world down with it. this is also why i'm not a fan of fighting the gods in ttrpgs#you end up either obliterating a party who are underequipped to fight a genuine god; or your god loses and people wonder . so you justify it#it would've been vastly more interesting if predathos could see mortals. could eat mortals. would eat mortals to get to its true prey#if we're going by tinkerbell rules for the gods surely eating the children clapping would get their attention and draw them out#but no. every punch pulled. every opportunity for a genuinely interesting narrative failed at the first hurdle#i fully expect (pessimistically) for the gods to roll over on a dc 20 persuasion check btw. i have no hope for a genuinely interesting end#critical role#cr discourse#bell's hells

Seeing Twitter users recommending the People Make Games documentary as a good way to get insight on the issue is soā¦.
I know, Iām always extremely disappointed whenever I come across someone who thinks itās the end all be all explanations regarding the Studio ZA/UM situation.
Recommending that video always comes with a heavy caveat from me that the person needs to stop around the 40 minute mark since the interviewer shows a very clear bias thatās unbecoming of a journalist.
Regardless, now that more people are finding out about these layoffs, which might take out members of the studio that have been there since the beginning, it could finally help smack some sense into those Twitter users that actually thought, FOR SOME REASON, Rostov, Kurvitz, and Hindpere were lying for shits and giggles rather than seeing what's ACTUALLY going on which is that the investors have a very obvious agenda against the real wronged party. Hopefully this'll also open their eyes to how the People Make Games video fed into this twisted narrative that Kurvitz was somehow at fault/responsible for the theft of his own IP, but that might be asking too much from their concrete brains. Here's hoping though!
#disco elysium#studio za/um#za/um#people make games#and Iām not even getting into Brattās response to the criticism he got#this man deleted so many YouTube comments that pointed out the inconsistencies and bias#itās such a reddit conspiracy theory but at the time I briefly thought Kompus paid him off to push the narrative in his favor#now Iāve talked about this before in a post from almost a year ago#but i truly believe Brattās heart was initially in the right place but let his anger cloud his judgement#after kurvitz rightfully denied him a way to wrap up his video in a neat little bow cause he knew the studio would use his words against hi#something in Bratt must've snapped cause all the blame got pushed on Kurvitz for no reason other than he felt slighted by his response#it's kinda tainted PMG's work for me b/c moving forward I'll have doubt if the story truly is being accurately reported#my response#mp

the thing is, the campaign set us up to ask these enormous, important questions about what's right, what the appropriate limits of power are, who gets crushed under sweeping decisions where no checks are made or even possible -- and so it's hard not to be a little frustrated that the final option the BH chose was 1) Imogen and Co. rocking up to Vasselheim with a God-eater inside her, effectively squaring off to the tune of 'you will deal with us because you have to'... and yet 2) no real underlying conviction or plan or skills or networks to draw on, just the vibe of 'y'all gotta do better, I dunno how, and what "better" means is also pretty fuzzy, but anyway it's your problem now so figure it out'
like yes obviously everyone has to figure it out. that's... the problem we started with. can you contribute any new insights into the conversation? or did you just want to break something?
#idk#when you teach narratives that don't quite work#one thing you say to students is#where is the limit of this work's imagination#what was it not willing or able to consider#or is the insight supposed to be that nothing works and it never comes together#more often it's the former than the latter#because even polemical texts don't tend to resolve all questions to ultimate universal satisfaction#so when radical texts are only rad for men or white people or able bodied people or straights#the limit of the imagination is that the author or the work just did not understand how to take their ideas to the deeper true conclusion#for one reason or another#they stopped short#and that stopping introduces inconsistencies in the insights#anyway that's how I feel about this campaign#again who knows#it's not done#but.#yeah#c3e120#campaign 3#cr thoughts#cr spoilers#cr negativity#narrative#critical role#my two cents#also what is the ludinus shoe about to drop#because boy is that overdone but probably not done yet

thinking about how aleksander called Alina an apt pupil...and thinking about how Alina spent all of shadow and bone feeling stupid and kept belittling herself for being a slow learner when it came to all the grisha theory and controlling the light and how she carried that complex of thinking very little of her own intellectual capacity throughout the rest of the trilogy even though she made sm progress(up until the last battle)...and despite that or because of that perhaps, aleksander called her an apt pupil...
#Grishaverse#grishanalyticritical#alina starkov#darklina#I just want to give proof of how the narrative treated Alina like she was witless#Through baghra's preaching is s&b and r&r#Through mal belittling her and basically cheating on her and telling her she didn't understand her own feelings#Through Zoya taking her boytoy in s&s#Through tolya and tamar not telling her about mals alcoholism#Through the apparat trying to control her#Through Nikolai trying to control her#But it's just aleksander#Who said she was an apt pupil#Someone plz agree with me here#Either there is something here#Or it's just another inconsistency with the trilogy#But nevertheless#My darklina heart persists

Oh that GQ interview is simply awful especially that rock star part makes me seriously sick. It happend 10 years ago so itās absolutely pointless to discuss if heās lying about it or not but I would like to trust him heās used to not lie and so he canāt even lie when it comes to speakingā¦.
Anyway it also reminded me this

ā¦imagine if one day, after HLās CO, all those women have to admit this too lol. What an earthquake!
Hi!
I agree about it being pointless to try to figure out what he's lying about or not. I think we all agree on that one source says that, then there is another one contradicting the first one and so on, and that there is inconsistencies in the narrative. Then you have to ask yourself the question why there is a inconsistent narrative around this topic.
Harry has lied in interviews before, in particular in printed interviews where the journalist is paraphrasing what he said. There are countless of examples. In the rolling stone interview he said;
āSometimes people say, āYouāve only publicly been with women,ā and I donāt think Iāve publicly been with anyone,ā he said. āIf someone takes a picture of you with someone, it doesnāt mean youāre choosing to have a public relationship or something.ā
This is a big fat lie no matter how you interpret it and there is plenty of evidence disproving it. Saying things like that makes me lose respect for him. Don't take us for fools. But again you have to question why he's lying about it. And at the end of the day we all know why...
In regards to the fake girlfriends coming clean. I don't think they all will. I think they don't want to shine a light on it. Some of them have been lying, milked it for all it's worth and gotten attention from it. They could face a lot of crisism and backlash by doing that.

rock lee + associates is. hm. i'm very interested in its treatment of tenten so that's where the focus of my analysis has been but also like, on a more general level, it is usually not good. women who aren't tenten are constantly disrespected and objectified and none of them are allowed to be people. a lot of the jokes are homophobic. it's about as bad as naruto the original in all of those regards. and imo rock lee is terribly out of character for most of it. any and all structural concerns are brushed aside. and it's not even that funny some of the time. 4/10 i'm sitting through it for gender analysis purposes. there are a handful of good episodes but overall it's about as good as naruto is
#i don't really like naruto but i do like analyzing it very much and there my burden lies. sigh.#its inconsistent and bad writing. specifically. compels me.#rock lee + associates is the same. for every tenten gender moment there's a scene where tsuande cries about makeup.#or sakura doesn't get to be a person. or naruto and lee team up to peep on her. i'm so fucking sorry sakura this show does you so dirty#but all that just makes tenten's amazing treatment + characterization even more befuddling. like even on a level detached from her queernes#what gives tenten the right to be a person? why does the narrative respect her at all?#idk idk!!!! but its really interesting to me.

hey does it ever make you kind of crazy that post-reunion, c!owen introduces himself to us as owen agarci? agarci as in the name of the demon he shot in the chest during his trial? we know that's not c!owen's real last name -- he tells us so right then and there -- but i think it matters that of the last names he could have chosen for his lie, he took this one. his last name might have been the only thing he still carried with him of his family, of his past before the attack, and he refuses to use it or admit to it.
because it is an introduction, y'know? his narration, after the reunion, is a way of remaking himself in our eyes -- he is not the person we thought he was, so he needs to introduce himself again. and here, the thing he claims as his originating point, as the moment from his past he wants to carry around with him in something so fundamental as his name, is the moment he first killed a demon. this is the most important piece of his past. this, he is telling us, is where he comes from.
i think a lot about how we never actually see owen's parents. i don't even think we get their names? we get their voices in flashbacks over shots of empty fields and unpopulated streets. there is a kind of blankness to owen's past, or to what owen will reveal to us of his past, that forces us to take on faith that he is telling the truth when he talks about his own history. there is no one who could say otherwise; all the people who might have known him before he was a soldier and then a general are almost certainly dead.
it grants owen a fascinating degree of control over his own history. of course he can remake himself in this way, of course he can tell any story he wants of himself in this way; there's no one left to dispute his claims. in a way, he is his own origin -- as he tells us the story of his life, he is also creating that story. he came out of those woods with nothing but a bow on his back, no history, no one still living who could call to him by name. whatever life he lived before that point doesn't matter -- the thing that fundamentally made him the person who walked into town and demanded to join the army wasn't the life he lived with his parents, it was the violence he'd been exposed to and the violence he'd discovered himself willing and able to engage in. or so his story goes.
do you think when he woke up at the bottom of that elevator, memories wiped, nothing left to him of his past, there was some strange sense that he had done this before? do you think he rose up toward the light of the clearing above, empty-handed and alive, his entire life before this point a history waiting for him to tell it, and wondered why it felt familiar?
or maybe it's that he's refusing us. because following his turn during reunion, there's almost a sense that he has tighter control of the camera now. he addresses his 'voices' nearly antagonistically, wishing we/they would go away, responding and talking to us/them in a way that feels harsher than how he's addressed chat in the past. he's frustrated with us/them: why are you still here, i thought i was done with you. he accuses us/them of only pretending to care, of lingering not so much out of concern or any desire to do something as out of some morbid curiosity. there's a degree of access to him that we seem to have lost. it's as if he's finally certain that there is an audience, and what he's willing to show us shifts.
there's something really lovely and horrifying about a lot of the more scripted sections of owen's pov after the reunion. how it shows us things only he knows (the knife in his hotbar for much of his dinner conversation with guts, the beat where he grabs his backpack and reaches for a weapon when it seems like ayngel is about to recognize him, the interaction with puddy in the second clearing when he visits with krow), but we are nevertheless shut out of his interiority as he starts talking less to others, starts favouring third-person camera shots and narration where he gets to step out of the moment and talk to us directly. you can even think about the 'scripted by owengejuicetv' segments after each kill as signalling this: he has such visible direct control of the story we get to know now. he is the one who gets to tell this story, who gets to move the pieces on the board. here's what happened, he says to us. this is how it went. this is what i do and who i am and here are the parts that mattered. do you ever think about how rasbi's ending wasn't streamed from her pov? do you ever think about how the only witnesses to rasbi's death were rasbi herself, and owen?
#sparrowsong#outsiders smp#i'm aware i'm being inconsistent about using c!owen vs owen with no indicators attached#i am mostly talking about the character throughout but#the realm of 'discussing the strictly fictional' and the realm of 'discussing the creator's storytelling choices' are... blurred.#in this particular case.#and there's also some interesting accidental resonances in how cc!owen is so careful about archiving his stuff and#has such a comprehensive edited playlist for his pov because it means he also just has a ton of#unintentional narrative control just in general?#owen's stuff is easy to find and watch#if he says something and everyone acts like it's true it may as well be true. what are the odds you'll ever see the vod that contradicts it#you know?#anyway i had to get this post out of my system; sorry about the derangements

people of tumblr acting like the season finale went full ship-seeking torpedo when EYE saw eddie tell buck "i'm right in front of you" while buck gazed at him in heart-eyed awe before leaping toward him across what seemed like an insurmountable distance š
#idk gang i'm still having a fun time with this silly show and nothing i saw tonight was remotely ship-sinking ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ#not getting too deep into the rest of the ep here (it was fine imo -- not their best season finale but certainly not their worst)#definitely think madney baby 2: the bobbening & mara's adoption should have been saved for s9 instead of crammed in at the end though#and i do wish we'd seen eddie & chris deciding to stay in LA instead of just skipping to them already moving back#and above all i still think killing off bobby was a wildly foolish narrative choice that they're going to regret if they don't already#(pspsps tim & co. we'll all suspend our disbelief as much as needed if you want to pivot to some wild government conspiracy alobby cover up#but anyway i think someone should write a fic where buck and eddie win the lottery or something and move into bathena's dreamhouse#keep the home in the family or whatever#this season was super inconsistent but like⦠this is my popcorn show yāknow?#as long as Iām still generally having fun Iāll stick around#and Iām still having fun#and my fave ship is still very much afloat#911 spoilers

Y'know what- That's fair. Glitch City wouldn't be a very comfortable place to be in, would it?
But now I'm kinda curious... If you're in Gen 1 Viridian City like you said, then how is the Pokemon Center not all broken and corrupted? Is Glitch City like- I don't really know how to phrase this- Contained??
I've always had this idea in my head that Glitch City wasn't just one corrupted city but like a Kanto-wide thing. But, if you're safe in Viridian, then maybe it's not as widespread as I think it is... Sorry Green, I know I'm making a lot of assumptions, but could you tell me how the Gen 1 world works? If you want to, of course.
"Hoo boy, well, I'll try to explain all I can, Also, Don't worry 'bout it, make as many assumptions as you want, hell you can even be assumptive about me if ya want, I'm just here to entertain you after all, Aren't I?"
"Anyways, Lets take these in chunks!"
"No, no, you're right, The Gen-One Kanto was broken into rotting pixels and bits.
Buuuuut, as ya know, there's more than one cartridge- more than one game for the first gen too. Did'ja think every version of Kanto was like that buggy mess?"
"Nah.."
"Just two!"
"Though, technically I would say yes to this, it is at least somewhat contained. Hell every god's gotta have a couple handfuls of eternity prisons where it keeps its least favored. Some get mountain, some get graves, some get depressed, Some get Bitrot."
"If ya want more info on the world though, you're gonna have t' ask fer more specifics, can't just dump a mile-long history lecture."
"Yes, I'm referring to Reddo, though you're right, there are many rejects 'round here."
"I disagree though I think he is little. Sure he may be tall but he's practically a skeleton. I can break him like a twig. And have broken him like a twig."
"Nah, as I said, not gonna spend my time in a bitrot hell prison if I don't gotta.
My Kanto's just empty and abandoned for a different reason. Last time I saw a person here was.."
"It was...er..."
"hm. Maybe it was when I..."
"Yeah.. Yeah, it was...."
He shrugs.
"Oh nah they're just some part of me or somethin or other. I don't think I got the like. carving-painting-other skill bull to do that anyways. I just take the textures and my sprite does its work for me."

"Then what good is it?" "As well ask what good is life, what good is death? If the day comes when you would find me again, give that coin to any man from Braavos, and say these words to himāvalar morghulis." "Valar morghulis," Arya repeated. It wasn't hard. Her fingers closed tight over the coin. (Arya, ACOK) She fled from him, but only as far as the next open door. I know this room, she thought. She remembered those great wooden beams and the carved animal faces that adorned them. And there outside the window, a lemon tree! The sight of it made her heart ache with longing. It is the house with the red door, the house in Braavos. [...] Faster and faster the visions came, one after the other, until it seemed as if the very air had come alive. Shadows whirled and danced inside a tent, boneless and terrible. A little girl ran barefoot toward a big house with a red door. (Dany, ACOK)
these being in consecutive chapters does not feel coincidental. im not necessarily arguing arya is the girl in dany's vision. i think that could be a fun twist! as arya is associated with barefeet in clash in particular (barefoot surefoot lightfoot) and if the house with the red door is in braavos she will likely see it in twow. that being said its probably just representative of dany's inner child searching for home.
but it seems like grrm is drawing a connection between the two. he puts arya on a course for braavos which, as far as we know, is the same location as dany's house with the red door. the placement of these moments suggests, to me, that braavos is its true location despite a lot of theories to the contrary.
#asoiaf nonsense#when it turns out lemongate is just doran gifting dany or the sealord with a lemon tree......lol#people think its suspicious that danys memories lack distinctly braavosi flavor#the titans roar/the fog/stone/the smell of the sea/ect#and i admit there are inconsistencies#but i think we have to keep in mind braavos' worldbuilding wasnt a focus of grrms until affc#actually at this point in the story (acok) all we know is some general stuff about the sealord#namely his menagerie which is ref'ed in danys vision here of the beam carved with animals#the faceless men the bank and the islands#arya is the first person to think of the titan at the very end of clash#also dany never even thinks of lemon trees wrt to the house after this book......#i think grrm regrets that detail even tho its not a big deal so now hes worried about rationalizing it within the narrative#shit like that is prob the a big part of why twow is taking so long#idk there could be some big conspiracy but i dont see the point#i think its a fun lil thing that danys 3 dragon eggs wouldve been in braavos at the same time as her#possibly even the same exact place

WHEN will I be able to just telepathically yell from the rooftops my selfship lore. What do you MEAN I have to write fic about it if I want the message to get across
#Iām terrible at writing + I donāt have time š#but I want!!!! to go more in depth with narrative artworks and have people understand them!!!!!! GAH!#like to understand this artwork you need to know 1 all of the aqua.bats lore 2 all of my s/is lore and when those two things intersect and#etc etc and AUAGAJSGSHDHJFKGMFDBFJDKJDKDKFKFKDNDKFKD#YOU KNOW???#well not all of the aqua.bats lore tbh. theyāre pretty vague and inconsistent with it themselves sigh.#bonesy š¦

HiiiĀ :D For the character ask if it inspires you: Orochimaru
first impression: evil guy... very evil... i liked the snake vibes but i don't think i was particularly attached to them
impression now: if you tell a kid that they're going to be evil and then ask them to do evil science experiments for you and then tell them that they're evil for doing the evil science experiments. well i've got surprising news about what happens lmao. it's not that what happened isn't their fault per se it's just that perhaps their were. influencing factors. and the of course the universal naruto moral modifier of "everyone is kind of like that :/" but you can tell that orchimaru's soooo evil because of queer-coding. until they switch it to a comedy device. god i wish their androgyny was sincerely depicted.
favorite thing about that character: i really just like the fact that everyone kind of forgets the orochimaru was the main villain for like, half the series. it's chill. they're chilling. they didn't even like stop the war crimes or apologize they just start living in konoha again. the timeline around their original departure is so funny too it happens like on four different occasions depending on the flashback so i can only imagine that they just kept getting discovered and then. not leaving. because hiruzen didn't give a fuck. hilarious.
least favorite thing: i don't even know there's a lot of things that are objectively terrible about them but i find myself fond of all of them... i guess the fact that they talk with jiraiya sometimes. get a better rival. tsunade is right there.
favorite line/scene: all the body horror stuff. i love body horror. i love it when their skin melts and shit. that's cool.
favorite interaction that character has with another: their first fight with tsunade!!!!! literally everything about there interaction across that timespan is soooo good. them offering to revive dan n nawaki is obviously manipulative on some level but i also like to think that orochimaru is actually trying to give her them back. because they love her. and like, they're both missing-nin, right, even if tsunade was never officially put in a bingo book? and then she REJECTS him and KILLS HIS ARMS and it's just very good very yuri.
character that I wish that character would interact with more: i would have loved to see them interact with konan in a meaningful way... both of them are chasing immortality (orochimaru through actual, physical living forever and konan through carrying out the goals of the dead forever and ever in order to preserve them in memory like a pinned butterfly) and both of them are insane and i just think. that there could have been something there. like even if it was just a fight i would have loved to see it... i want to see konan's plan to take them out (i KNOW she has one it probably involves. ten million billion bombs. foolrpoof.)
character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: shoko jujutsu kaisen.... it's the medical malpractice and insane skewed morals based around making themselves immune to suffering. it's a good character archetype i like it a lot
headcanon about that character: they can't drink for SHIT idk if anything on the topic has ever been said but if it has i do not care i know in my heart. that they are a lightweight. most of the time they just don't drink because they don't really enjoy it anyways but when they go out with tsunade she always convinces them to take just a sip and then makes fun of them in the morning because they passed out after like. two beers.
song that reminds of that character: blue lips by regina spektor. smth smth death being human/fighting that + the passage of time. idk. mostly this is just vibes.
unpopular opinion about that character: i see a weird amount of sakumo/orochimaru and i just don't see the vision at all. like. what is compelling about their relationship. orochimaru is possibly one of the LEAST suicide guys ever but not in a way that contrasts meaningfully with sakumo's most suicide guy ever shtick i don't understand what the appeal is!!!!
favorite image:
idk what happens in boruto but i'm a big fan of orochimaru's milf era.
#no kabuto ? no sasuke? sorry i forgor#oro's got a lot of fun dynamics tbh it's hard to go over them all... i am just compelled by their narrative inconsistency.#and the yuri.
